The Draper UT temple is beautiful and tall. If you drive east from it, yes you can you end up in Lehi, who knew. Anyway while we were there I told Kaleena it would be cool to go to a session. She said I have a skirt in my trunk so I changed, in the parking lot. Then I had a shoe delema I had my old shoes and a pair of flip flops, I couldn't bring myself to wear either in to teh temple so I wore my socks, they were clean and white. Well They don't rent clothes at draper temple so i did initiories it was very cool. On the way out the temple president stopped me and said so you are the sister who came to the emple in her socks. I told him my foot wear choises and he agreed that I made the best one!

Preparing for Conference
I have friend who probably somewhere in her house is a sign for her boys to read that says General conference is coming are you ready? There is probable another sign close by with a snack wish list sign up sheet.
Here is a list on what to do to get ready.
A list of ideas for preparing for General Conference to get the most out of it:
- Make a list of specific questions or issues you're working on and would like help with.
- Fast about a specific topic before Conference
- Pray
- To feel the Spirit
- About one or all of the things on your list
- For the speakers
- Learn about the General Authorities' lives, families, etc.
- Have a Family Home Evening about General Conference (how to act during, what happens, who speaks, etc.)
- Read your Patriarchal Blessing if you have it
- Get plenty of sleep the night before
- Do all your cleaning and chores before Conference if you can
- Set out your clothes the night before so you can be dressed and ready to listen without looking around for what to wear. Consider reverence and comfort when choosing your clothes for the day.
- Plan to discuss the talks after you watch Conference. This helps you pay attention because you know you'll have to have something interesting to say about it later.
- Plan to listen for which talk to focus on for your Visiting/Home Teaching lesson
- Plan and shop for meals the day before. Have a Conference food tradition.
- Plan where and how to watch Conference in advance.
- Find your journal or whatever you take notes in. Find a pen, too.
- Read talks from the last General Conference.

New Years
Somethings about New Years never make sense to me like why is it the only night of the year that I go to sleep before mid-night? What is the big deal about a ball dropping in NY? That song ...Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind ?... or what ever the words are. Resolutions on New Years we are going to become so much better than we were a week ago it is overwhelming and impossible. I was thinking about this exact thing in Sacrament meeting on Sunday and decided in stead of a whole bunch of resolutions that I will have failed at or forgotten by February that I would spend time on Sunday morning each week and pick a few things to work on during the up coming week. This way I won't have to put a whole bunch of broken or incomplete resolutions on my list of failures for 2009! And I can do almost anything for a week, except not drink Diet Coke!
Also almost all you other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints out there remember your meeting times will probably change. Lucky you if you get to start at 9!

Christmas
Our primary kids sang this in Sacrament Meeting today. It was so awesome. Today i fell in love with Christmas. I usually am a Grinch but I decided that is because I am selfish. I will try to work on this. I also felt the spirit like I haven't in a long time. Take a few minute to focus on what eh Lord has Done and then look around and see what you can do for someone else.

The Best Sunday!
Yup it was the primary program. Once a year the children share what they have learned with the rest of the ward. If you are not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you should visit your local ward for the primary program.
Not only was the sacrament program great but Sunday school was good. My students are finally discussing the scriptures and not just giving me lame answers .
I am not sure what was good about Relief Society, I don't think it was the lesson but the spirit was strong. OK I really like going to church it gives my spirit the boost I need to make it thorough the week.

Missing Scriptures! (they were found)
I lost my scriptures, two and half weeks ago. I searched the house, the van van and church. I decided they were gone forever I was sad, but it wasn't the end of the world.
Wednesday I got a phone call form a lady who asked if I was Beverley . I told her yeah. Well she said she found my green bible in the gutter at the park the girls and I always go to. I was so excited. She told me she was half way through Alma and decided I was missing them so she looked up my number and called. She really wanted to know what happened to the Nephites. I told her that I would give her own copy of the Book of Mormon. She said that she was going to be at eh park with her grandson that afternoon. So I stuffed my missionary copy of the Book of Mormon that I keep at home full of pass along cards and met her at the park.
Thursday She called all excitedly telling me that the missionaries were coming to her house to answer her questions and explain the things she didn't understand about the Book of Mormon :). After the missionaries visited her she called again and said they were going to come back again.
While I was pouting about missing scriptures they were on a mission!
