When I think of the parable of the talents i usually visualize stuff we are good at; you know your talents. Well the other day I was talking to a friend who shed a new light on this
visualization. Our talents are also our energy or motivation.
I have a habit of taking an all or nothing approach to everything. Like, why should I start doing the dishes when I don't have time to finish or someone will get a snack and they will be undone. Or I don't have enough energy to do the whole thing so I do none.
So what does this have to do with the parable? If we take what little of what ever we have and loose it trying to do our best it is better than being afraid of loosing it and burring it or doing nothing. Having a little and using it up for good is better than having allot and doing nothing.
How would the Lord be more pleased in the use of our talents?
